If you've read through at least some of the posts on our blog, you have seen our passion for sexual purity and devotion to God alone, and you may be wondering: What do I do now? What an awesome question! The first step would be to evaluate your relationship with Jesus Christ. Maybe you have gone to church all your life - you practically live in the church and you know your Bible backwards and forwards. Or perhaps you've heard about Jesus, but really don't know much about Him; you have never made a decision to put your faith and trust in Him. If that's where you're at right now, we are so glad you have visited this page!
If you believe you need a Savior - someone to pay the penalty for all the things you've ever done wrong - and you believe that Jesus is that Savior who died on the cross for you and rose from the grave three days later, then you are ready to become a Christian. Romans 10:9 says: "If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." That's all it takes. There's no specific prayer you have to recite, no list of guidelines you have to follow. All you have to do is believe that Jesus loved you so much that He paid for your sins - everything you've ever doen wrong - on the cross, and that He conquered death by rising from the grave three days later.
I remember as a little kid I thought that I had to "become a Christian" by continually asking God to come into my life. So every night before I went to bed, I would pray and ask God to come into my life once again, just to make sure that in case I died I would go to heaven. I laugh about this now because the truth is, we don't have to continually accept Christ. Once we believe that Jesus paid the ultimate price and are willing to give our lives to Him, then we are saved and can be assured of heaven.
